Daniel Bernard (D. B.) Sweeney was born November the 14th, 1961 in Shoreham, New York. He has two sisters and one brother. Before he thought about acting he wanted to be a professional baseball player. This did not come to be because he was in a motorcycle accident. He graduated from Tulane University. He has made 4 theater appearances including on Broadway and LA Production. When he started out acting he went by Danny Sweeney, but unfortunately there was another actor with the same name on the SAG/AFTRA productions. This is why he goes by D. B. He first started out with small roles. Then he landed bigger roles. He has appeared in mini-series and TV shows. He has been a voice for two Disney children movies. His love of baseball did land him two roles, one was playing Shoeless Joe Jackson in "Eight Men Out" and also playing a baseball coach in "Hardball." He has appeared in science fiction movies including "Fire in the Sky." To most women fans, by far they will say that the movie they love is "The Cutting Edge" in this role he was a ex-hockey player turned figure skater. This role started the being of him playing hockey in celebrity games. Recently he has moved from actor to writer/director. With his movie "Dirt Nap." Which has been a big hit at film festivals. He is married and has one child. |
